Development
Beyond the Harbor
Last time, the fleet was taking shape. This July 27–September 28 development catch-up gives it somewhere more interesting to go.
The sailing work now includes a Vailand shipping route, public ferry fares, and an introductory passage designed to help a newcomer find their sea legs. Merchant traffic and bounty hunters gained persistence, so their journeys can survive a restart.
Something on the horizon
The Blackwake derelict adds a ship to discover and investigate. A separate frontier package exercises rivers, deep water, and altitude, giving different vessel types places to show what they do.
Life aboard has become easier to read, too. The tactical chart and lookout draw on the surrounding wilderness, while sea descriptions respond to location and weather. A ship-wide captain’s channel keeps the crew together, and exterior customization gives a hull more personality.
Hostile boarding received further checks, including the existing player-versus-player consent rules. A dramatic boarding action still needs to play by the rules.
This is a development preview. The documented technical checks have progressed, but player balance testing, a structured human beta, and staged production rollout remain open. These milestones bring the fleet closer; they do not announce a public launch.
