Gods, Knights, and Clans of Luminari

A knight pledges an oath before a glowing temple altar beneath clan banners.

A character's story is partly who they are and partly what they owe: a god, an oath, a banner. Work done mostly in the summer and autumn of 2025 gave all three a clearer home in Luminari's own setting.

The gods of Lumia

The game now draws on an original pantheon instead of borrowed gods: powers such as Aethyra, Kordran, Seraphine, Lumerion, and Borhild, each with an alignment, portfolio, and domains. devote list all shows them, devote info tells you more about one, and devote choose makes your pledge. Choose carefully: changing gods later means asking the staff.

The wiki's Pantheon of Lumia covers their stories and quarrels.

Orders of light and shadow

The knightly prestige classes now use Luminari names and lore. The light-aligned paths are combined into the Knight of the Luminous Thread. The Howling Moon, Shattered Mirror, and Pale Throne walk the shadowed road. The knight orders page tells how the orders split.

Clans with real business

Clans gained diplomacy and bookkeeping. clan ally proposes or accepts an alliance, clan war declares a war that runs on a timer, and clan log and clan stats show what the clan has been doing. With claninvest, a clan can put gold into shops, caravans, mines, or farms for returns over time. Members also get a rank-based discount at shops in zones their clan controls.

These changes are in the game build recorded as running in production in August 2026. A few in-game help entries, including the one for deities, still describe the older systems and are due for an update.
