Roads to Krynn: Satchels, Sea Roads, and New Frontiers
By the summer of 2023, the road east had become a sea road—and beyond it waited another campaign.
The groundwork began with a deceptively practical invention: virtual bags. Instead of trusting deeply nested containers to survive every save and reboot, characters could place categories of possessions into durable storage lists. That safety net soon gained familiar get and put behavior, while the carried-item limit temporarily rose to one thousand during the transition. A new family of weapon poisons gave those carefully stored supplies sharper purpose.
Krynn takes shape
October brought a major body of Dragonlance-themed campaign code: regions, races, travel routes, item mappings, creature summons, and campaign-aware rules. The Fireside Tavern and Cultists of Morgion zones were converted for levels 18–25, with roads and carriage access tying them into Abanasinia and the routes around Palanthas. A new sailing point connected northern Ergoth to the growing network.
The campaign layer also learned to route landmarks, carriages, sailing, and other travel features by configuration rather than by a single hard-coded world. That work became the foundation for supporting Luminari, Krynn, and Forgotten Realms rules from the same engine.
Fewer dead ends
The unstuck command offered an emergency route back to the mortal start room, free for low-level characters and paid in gold and experience later on. Mounted travelers inherited flight or levitation from their mounts. Fast-travel durations were tuned, blocker directions were repaired, and long paralysis or stun effects were reduced from near-certain death sentences to something a battle could survive.
Supply orders received better rewards and sensible daily limits. Random treasure displayed more reliably in shops. Base attack calculations, leveling checks, regeneration modifiers, summoned creatures, consumables, and virtual-bag duplication all went through repair passes.
It was a season of bridges: between campaigns, between inventory and storage, and between an old road ending and a new horizon beginning.
