Songs, Spells, and Seventeen Relics
A lute should count as a lute when you are wearing it in the instrument slot. That pleasingly obvious idea is one of the fixes in this July 27–September 28 magic roundup.
Give the band its due
Bardic performances received repairs to timing, targets, and overlapping effects. Equipped instruments are recognized properly, and Spellsinger and Warchanter perks gained missing connections to the songs and spells they are meant to support.
The new Accompany feat lets an eligible musician support a grouped bard’s performance and take over if it falters. You must stop your own performance first.
Other classes got attention as well: Necromancer spell progression and summons, Blackguard mounts, Inquisitor domain powers, and Group Heal’s ability to cure blindness. These are repairs to existing character choices, rather than a reason to start your build over.
Six more names for the legends
The Vault of Ages introduced eleven artifacts. Further work on July 27 added six more: Vengeance, Earthcrier, Wyrmfang, Courage, Icedge, and Twilight.
The expanded collection has a public chronicle that follows discovery and ownership. It keeps undiscovered names hidden and reveals finding hints only under the artifact’s discovery rules. History grows as these objects pass through the world.
Follow-up fixes restored distinctive powers, including Tiamat’s Stinger’s life drain and Earthcrier’s knockdown, and tightened class restrictions, balance, and recovery between uses. Restarting the game should not hand an artifact’s spent powers straight back.
The class changes are implemented; their live rollout was not verified here. The artifact roster is implemented too, but the documented prototypes still reset into the vault. Their intended acquisition stories need world placement before this becomes a treasure-hunting announcement.
